Rebranding yourself and business is gutsy work in the best of times…AND it takes an extra spoonful of tenacity during a whole pandemic! Shew! Branding requires us to dig deep about who we are, how we want the world to see us, dig deep again about who we are, think about how we want to visually represent ourselves, dig a little further about who we are…you get my point. It takes some summoning of self-awareness and courage – and this is in the best of times. During a pandemic, it is harder. We are challenged to face our fears, hesitations, and we have to get creative about nurturing our creative selves. For me, this process took an extra four months. FOUR! My overachieving parts (yes, plural. I’m crying) were screaming at me about deadlines and efficiency, and I had to face insecurities and doubts. If this sounds familiar to you now, I want to encourage you to keep going. Know that this is normal during the best of times. Find space to breathe. Redefine time and space for yourself; because, in addition to all of the hardness, time gifted me grace, compassion, and community — and this is not something that can be bought or branded. Thank you to my supporters, the late night readers, editors, enablers (yes, I wrote this. I needed you!), and most of all, the professional creatives that helped to make it happen (all while wearing masks) – Branded by Bernel, Jodie Brim Photography, Jai Armani Phoenix, and Love+Well Boutique. Until next time.
Absolutely, what you Said!! Covid has caused us to slow down, do some soul searching, reprioritize and regroup. Congratulations on pushing thru to refine your vision of the much needed work you provide!
