brainspotting

Brainspotting is a dynamic tool that uses your eye position to access and release stuck points and disappointments. The eye position accesses your deep brain, which is where we hold on to emotional pains and longstanding stuck points.

Brainspottting works to help access and process:

FIND YOUR BRAINSPOT, FIND YOUR HEALING!
What is a brainspot?

I'm glad you asked, in short, it is an eye position that is connected to the following: an issue, an emotional response, and a body sensation. When we access that brainspot together, you can begin releasing it from your life.

HOW DOES BRAINSPOTTING WORK?

I help patients locate an access point in their visual field that is connected to a particular issue and a body sensation, then we begin with mindful focusing while allowing the body to do what it knows how to do...heal.

This is designed to help you work towards your BSP Certification. This process provides one-on-one time to deepen your learning about the setups and gives you an opportunity to gain case consultation about your patients. See website for forms and requirements about certification below.

1.

BSP Consultation & Groups

This allows you to build community with fellow BSP clinicians, provide support and gain feedback, practice BSP with clinicians, and process how BSP can support your self-care as a therapist – all in an affinity space for POC where you can process specific issues related to BIPOC. *Because the focus is to build community and hone skills, there are only two cohorts offered during the calendar year. Check our events page for dates.

(WILL NOT COUNT TOWARDS YOUR CERTIFICATION)

Sometimes we just need to process a case related to a specific issue. This 1-hour session allows you to explore a specific case, issue, and setup related to one of your patients. My particular expertise is with Black women who struggle with self-esteem and collective traumas related to microaggressions and discrimination in the work place and community; law enforcement and PTSD, and the 60+ retired/transitioning to retirement population. Reach out to see if we’ll be a good match for your case processing.
